In recent months I completed a series of new wall sculptures using “slices” of wood. The wood had such beautiful end-grain lines and rich colors that made me cut the wood into slices to expose the magic. Most pieces can either be installed vertically or horizontally. Here are two of the new pieces installed vertically:

This horizontal sculpture is made from 40+ thick slices of reclaimed redwood, featuring a soft and smooth surface on the top, showing the beautiful grain of the wood, and and edgy outside as an interesting contrast.
