The Mountain Ridge sculpture was inspired by the reclaimed redwood itself. While working on a large sculpture, cut-off pieces of wood accumulated on the floor of my studio. One day, I noticed the scattered pieces forming a ridge. So, I started gluing, carving, and sanding – the Mountain Ridge was born. As you carefully observe the unique grain, shape and colors of each wood piece, you can imagine climbing along the ridge, witnessing the different layers of sediments and discovering caves, craters and canyons along the way. 

Mountain Ridge is made out of 60 layers of reclaimed redwood, glued, carved to bring out the beautiful grain and finished with Linseed Oil. Installed on wall.
